Mike Merton has a Grand Slam at Monticello Raceway

Mike Merton led all drivers on the 12 race card on Tuesday December 29 with 4 winners, former leading dash winner Jim Devaux won 3 races and Greg Merton also had 3 trips to the winner’s circle.  Ricky Be Sharp earned his 4^th consecutive win for the combination of Rob Harmon and Michael Merton.

The classy aged campaigner Mariner Seelster won the Open Pace in 1:57.2, Bo Sowers steered the son of Camluck for trainer Mark Ford, the aged gelding is owned by Kelly Ford.  It was his 3^rd wins in 4 starts.  The warhorse has life time earnings of over $600,000 in his career and a lifetime mark of 1:50.4 taken as a 9 year old.
