Open Pace to Hestons Lucky Chip

This week’ s Open Pace saw just 6 horses behind the gate for the $6,900 event, the front end loving favorite Yankee On The Move was just that went the gate opened and clicked off fractions of 28.4, 58.1 at the ¾ marker Bruce Aldrich Jr. had Hestons Lucky Chip on the move and was first over with the lead. Hestons Lucky Chip put a 3 length separation on the field with a 28.3 third quarter to go on and with by a 2 length margin in 1:55.4 – $7.60 for his second win of the season and set a seasonal mark with the win. Hestons Lucky Chip is trained by Laura Perino for owner Richard W Dieck and was driven by Bruce Aldrich Jr.  Trevor One (Jim Devaux) finished second followed by Rock On Lou (Kyle Dibenedetto)

Trainer Ken Koch had 2 winners on the card with JM’S Rollin whose 3-year-old debut started off with a win in 1:59.1, and Jessicas Beach Boy notched his 4 win, Mike Merton enjoyed a driving double.
