Beauty is Blind wins Mares Open

After 2 second place finishes at Saratoga Raceway, trainer Christopher Petrelli brought Beauty is Blind to Monticello Raceway where the 5 year old daughter of Betterthancheddar got back on track to score her first win of 2022 season with Cory Stratton in the sulky, last year she was a winner 13 times.
After a brief give and go with Tango Dancer N before the quarter pole, Beauty is Blind made it to the front and never looked back to score a 3 length win in 1:56.3 – $4.80 over High Rolling A (Lauren Tritton) and Keene Olivia (Mike Merton)
Brandon Parker won 2 races back to back on the afternoon aboard Unique Splendor 1:57.3 – $9.80 and with the classy 13 year old campaigner Racingtowardadream in 2:00.2.
Cory Stratton won the first and last race of the day with Hunters Gal 2:01 – $3.50 and with Beauty is Blind in the mares Open, with the 2 wins today Stratton is in 4th place for leading dash winning drivers with 28 wins thus far for the year.
Lacarmeliliana (Greg Merton) notched her 3rd consecutive win of the year, 5 wins on the season for trainer Candace Brandstatter in 1:59.1 – $2.70, Lacarmeliliana was claimed by Jarred Z. Laughlin.
