2 in a row for Beauty Is Blind
March 21, 2022
Even post position 7 did not deter Beauty Is Blind from reaching the winners circle again this week in the Open for Fillies and Mares, sent off as the prohibited favorite Cory Stratton wasted no time in getting to front and controlling his destiny. He controlled the tempo and stayed in front, clicking off fractions of 29, 59.1, 1:28.2 to win by a length in 1:57.4 – $4.50. The Betterthancheddar aged mare is trained by Chris Petrelli and is owned by David A. Del Pozzo. Finishing second was Fox Valley Charliz (Brandon Parker) followed by The Chargin Moa N (Michael Merton)
Cory Stratton and McGwire Sowers had driving double on the card as did trainer Bo Sowers. The Sowers trained and driven Dirtylittlelies earned her 5th of the year.
