Bully Boy Wins Open Trot – Jim Taggart Jr. gets the Hat Trick

Bully Boy lived up to his name this afternoon as for the second consecutive week he scored by open lengths. Last week he won by 7 1/2 length in a NADA event and this afternoon he romped in the Open Trot by 9 3/4 lengths for driver Jimmy Taggart Jr. Finishing second was Zooming who withstood a Judges Objection after making a break in mid-stretch, Swizzle Hanover was third. Time for the mile was 1:57.1, which a new 2022 speed badge for the Gary Messenger trained son of Jailhouse Jessi, it was his third win of the year.

The win with Bully Boy gave Taggart a hat trick on the card he also scored with Steve Moore’s Wild West in 1:56.1 – $13.60 and with Vaganova 1:56.2 – $31.60 for trainer Jim Doherty Jr.

Driver Alan Schwartz almost had a driving double, he scored a 5 length with his Raceace in 1:59.3 in the first NADA event and he finished second in the other division with Hypothetical, the second division was won by Jacob Stillwell aboard Festive Joe in a 1:58.3 – $11.40 winning effort.
