Camwood turns back JB Mauney N

After Camwood won 3 consecutive starts in the Open ranks he was given his papers and was told to get lost for a while, well he’s baaaack and dashed JB Mauney N chances of notching his 5th consecutive win.
Starting from post position 6, Camwood was the first off the gate, followed by Artmagic (Jim Devaux) who got a perfect 2 hole journey for most of the mile. Camwood cut fractions of 27.3 57:1, at the half JB Mauney N was the first to pull and get the outer flow going. At the ¾ pole (1:26) JB Mauney N (Mike Merton) took his best shot at Camwood but he did not wake up lucky today and faded to sixth in the lane. Heading into the paddock turn Camwood was on top by 2, pacing down the lane he extended his lead to 4 lengths and scored in 1:54.2. Brandon Parker handled the driving assignment for trainer Christopher Petrelli who won 3 on the afternoon, the other wins came with Dreamfair Helena in 1:57 – $6.10 – Princess Royal accounted for Brandons second win on the card.
Jim Devaux scored back to back driving wins aboard Starlitluckbwithme in 2:03.2 – $4.80 who broke her maiden for owner trainer Cedric Washington and with Little Liza Jane 1:57.2 – $5.20.
Bruce Aldrich Jr. also had a pair of winning steers with Well Done Son 1:54.3 – $13.80 and SBD Corazon 1:55 – $2.70.
