Trevor One gets up in Final strides to Score

Hestons Lucky Chip (Aldrich) didn’t wake up lucky this morning as he was parked to the half and began to tire. Heading down the backside the second time around Sauvignon Bluechip (Chindano) popped out of the 3 hole followed by Tervor One. Turning for home they were 3 abreast with Mister Spot A still showing the way, Sauvignon Blue Chip began to tire in deep stretch, Trevor One was able to get up for the win in the final strides over Mister Spot A in 1:54.4 – $33.20, Sauvignon Blue Chip finished third. Murray Bassen trains Trevor One for owners Platinum Gold Stables of Smithtown, NY, it was his second win for the year.

Thomas Merton had a training double with Make Sweet Magic (Taggart) 1:58.1 $8.60 and Smart Talker M. Merton 1:55 – $27.60. Jim Taggart also had a double on the 8 race card. T Dog (Chindano) is a maiden no more, this afternoon he registered his first lifetime win. The Bolt The Duer colt scored in 1:58.3 for owner – trainer Michael Kimelman.
