Cinnamon Stick – Winning Legends take Opens

In the first of 2 Open Trots on the card it was Cinnamon Stick (Mike Merton) who garnered his second win on the year, The 1/5 favorite went wire to wire in 1:58.2 – $2.70.  The son of Jailhouse Jesse is trained by Greg Decker and is owned by Michael C. Mulligan of Liberty, NY.  Miss Muscle (Sowers) was second followed by Bank Guard (Aldrich)

Using the same tactic as Cinnamon Stick, Justin Huckabone played catch me if you can with Winning Legends who has been on a tear in the Open ranks, this afternoon he eked out a win over a durable ER Shane in 1:59.1 – $4.30.  Winning Legends is trained by Jon Berube, it was his third consecutive win in Open company.

Masterson 1:56.3 – $3.30 (Jim Devaux) scored his seventh win on the year, which ties him with Scotlynn Seelster with the most wins for the year. Without A Warning 2:00 – $3.30 also notched his seventh win for Team Aldrich.  Possess The Stone rocked the tote board in a 25-1 $52.50, for the combination of Fern Paquet Jr. and Danny Gill. Bruce Aldrich drove both winners of the early Daily Double.
