ER Shane Notches Win in Open Trot

This week’s Open Trot was a 7-horse contest, Raceace made a break before the start to take himself out of contention. Luvcrunchess starting from post 7 blasted out of the gate and after being parked the first quarter, he finally got the lead just past the opening split in 28. As soon as he made the front-end ER Shane popped out of the 2 hole and quickly took the lead and set an even rated tempo of 58.  Down the backside HP Running Mass was the first to come off the wood as the leader passed the next panel in 1:28.1.  The favorite ER Shane or as trainer Laura Aldrich refers to as “Shane The Pain” was never headed and won by 2 lengths in 1:57.4 Luvcrunchess (T. Merton) was second, followed by Bully Boy (Taggart Jr.) It was win # 5 on the year for ER Shane and pushed his seasonal earning to over $35,000, Team Aldrich also scored with Fashionattiffanys in 1:57.1 – $2.10, the 3-year-old daughter of Hunstville jogged and won by 5.

Justin Huckabone took both halves of the early daily double with Well Done Son 1:55.3 $3.70 and Sweet Royalty 1:58.4 – $18.80.
