JM’s Delight Back On Top

Making his second start at Monticello Raceway after a tour of the upstate tracks with starts at Batavia and Buffalo and a Winners circle dry spell, JM’s Delight got back on track this afternoon with a win in the Open Pace.

The 1/5 betting favorite was stretched out briefly before getting the lead, once on top the 7 year old was able to control his destiny enroute to a 1:55.3 -$2.70 victory subduing a weak threat by Special Graduate (A. Moeykens)  JM’s Delight is owned, trained and driven by Gregory Merton, it was win #4 on the year.

Boston Crème earned her first lifetime win this afternoon for Shane Tritton, the 3-year-old Boston Red Rocks lass went wire to wire in 2:00 for driver Greg Merton.  Also finding the winner circle for the first time was the 54/1 Patient Lass who scored in 2:00.1 – $110.00 for Kyle Dibenedetto, the Well Said filly is owned by Kyle’s wife Robin. Kyle would also score aboard Marced Mercedes in 1:58.2 – $4.40.  McKenzie Sowers won the EWYW Amateur Driving Club race with a come from behind score in a tight photo over MV OK Palacio BR in 1:56.2 -$6.40.
