Play To The Crowd notched her 14th win of the year, she is tied with 2 other horses with 14 trips to the winner’s circle in the nation for second place. The 7-year-old Always A Virgin was claimed last week for new owners Room 4040 LLC. After cutting mile she scored in a tight photo over Seafood Sweetheart in 1:55.1 – $4.70 for her new connections, she was driven by Joe Chindano Jr. for trainer McKenzie Sowers.
Bruce Aldrich Jr. was the hot driver this afternoon with 4 driving wins and a pair of trainer wins for Laura Aldrich. Bruce took both halves of the early double aboard Always As Fast 1:57.4 – $7.30 for trainer Veronica Merton, and with the 2 year old Conway Hall filly My Little Bee in 2:03.4 $4.60 owned and trained by Hillary Hartnett of Morris, NY.
Longtime Monticello Raceway patron and owner Gary Hass of Bloomingburg had a pair of winners this afternoon, both starters had the rail, with Bruce at the helm of each of them. The wins came with first Come Zoom With Me 1:57.3 – $2.70 and Caroline James 1:55.3 – $8.80.
