Benefitting from the torrid early pace set by Foo Fighter N (R. Silvestri) who reeled off splits of 26.3 & 55 and the co-favorite (Daamericansky) being hung out to dry before he made the top at the half. The conditions were right for the favorite Some Deal Hanover, he made his 3 wide move down the backstretch as the pack hit the next station in 1:25.3, he was clear of the leaders heading for home to win by 3 in 1:55.3 over Prophet Blue Chip (A. Moeykens) with Ohio Vantage (M. Merton) getting up for third. The winner was driven by Bruce Aldrich Jr. trained by Laura Aldrich and is owned by John Hallet and Rick Howles; it was his fifth win on the year.
