Troy Rossi Gets the Win!

After knocking on the door and finishing second and third a host of time this year, on Thursday afternoon Troy Rossi returned to the winners circle after a 25 year hiatus. The win came aboard Itiswhatitis who squeezed through the passing lane to overtake the leader Tally-Ho, dismissed by the betting public at 18 – 1 to score in 1:58 – $38.80. The winner is trained by Veronica Merton and is owned by Michael Elia of Warren, NJ.
After the winning drive Troy was met in the winner circle by a host of well-wishers, the win lwas also a personal milestone for the 60 year old Rossi as it was his 300th career driving win
Roll with Shorty – 1:57.4 (M. Merton) keeps on rolling as she extended her winning streak to 5 in a row, the Roll With Joe mare is trained by Ken Koch. Mike Merton had a driving double and took the other half of the early double with Comanche Creek in 1:57 – $3.20.
