ER Shane get 10th win of the Season

Although this week’s Open Trot was missing a third of the usual trilogy with the absence of Cinnamon Stick, ER Shane and Chip Chip Conway were present and both put in big efforts after being parked for almost ¾ of the mile.

Raceace (Schwartz) was parked 3 deep going to the opening panel, he made the front after a brisk opening panel of 28.4. Shortly after he making the front end ER Shane and Chip Chip Conway got underway on the outside.  They continued on the outside through as Raceace continued to set the tempo, rounding the last turn the pair were still taking a lot of Catskill Mountain air, but ER Shane had the better trip and was able to bull his way to the lead for the win in 1:59.3 – $7.60 with Chip Chip Conway in hot pursuit getting up for second and Raceace holding on for third.

For ER Shane it was his tenth win on the year for Laura and Bruch Aldrich Jr. -Team Aldrich also had a winner with Prairie Special in the opener in 2:01.1 – $3.30. Bruce had 3 wins on the day.

Mike Merton has a pair of back to back wins with Hot Summer Knight in 2:00.4 – $3.80 and Rock On Lou 1:56.4 – $11.60. Keith Haase had a training double with Rock On Lou and Brutal Storm in the Dead Heat.

The fifth race had a dead heat for win between Creemore (Aldrich Jr.) and Brutal Storm (T. Merton) in 2:00.3.
