Horse of The Year Daamericansky get 15th Seasonal Win

This week’s Open Pace saw the reason why Daamericansky was chosen as the 2023 Monticello Raceway Horse of The Year as he notched his impressive 15th win on the year, tying him with Play To The Crowd for the most wins this season at the Mighty M. The front end loving American Ideal gelding stormed home a 3-length winner over the pocket sitting Trevors Ace (Moeykens) and Smart Talker (Sowers) in 1:55.4 – $3.10. Daamericasky was driven by Greg Merton for trainer Andrew Adamczyk.

Thomas Merton had the hot hand this afternoon with 3 trips to the winner circle, the wins came aboard Just Wave Goodbye 1:57.3 – $30.00, Betacool N 1:59.1 – $3.30 and the 40/1 longshot Perfect Queen 1:57.1 – $85.40.
