For the second consecutive week, Rolling With Sam soundly dispatched a field of 8 and scored an easy 3 length win in 1:54.2, the 3/5 favorite turned back Some Deal Hanover and Smart Talker (M. Sowers)
3 horses left the gate vying for the lead, Some Deal Hanover (Aldrich Jr.) Roll With Sam and Don Domingo N (G. Merton) Roll With Sam (J. Devaux) opted to fight on for the lead with Don Domingo N (G. Merton) opting to take back. Once on the lead Sam rolled on via splits of 28.1, 57.3, down the backside the second time Mighty Santana N (J. Taggart Jr.) took a shot at the leader but was soundly rebuffed by the time they hit the next panel in 1:25.4. From there it was smooth sailing for the favorite as he cruised home a winner in 1:54.2 – $3.40 or as announcer Howard Oil would say “He won like a 3/5 should” The win was his first seasonal win, two in a row for the Andrew Adamczyk trainee, the son of Roll With Joe is owned Morrison Racing Stable of Indiana, PA.
