This week’s Open Trot had a different look to it, missing were the regulars Cinnamon Stick and ER Shane, and Bruce Aldrich was filling in for regular pilot Jim Taggart Jr. driving Chip Chip Conway.

Chip Chip Conway made his move to the front as the pack settled in after the first turn, he remained on top throughout and was able to put away Hot Summer Knight (G. Merton) in 1:59.3 with Win and Dream (Paquet Jr.) finishing third.

In addition to the win aboard Chip Chip Conway, Aldrich would also reach the winners circle with American Song Writer 2:02.4 – $ 5.30 & with newcomer Home N Dry 2:00.1 – $9.60.  With the 3 wins Bruce is tied with Kyle Dibenedetto in fourth place in the Driver Standings, each having 26 wins in the young season.

Emma Town Bud (P. Bovay) has a 2-race win steak after his score this afternoon in 2:02 – $4.30. Miss You Joann, (K. Dibenedetto) made her 2024 seasonal debut a winning one for Trainer Dave Wishkow in a 2-length score in 1:59.2 – $3.20.
