Trevor’s Ace took the Open Pace after coming first over at the half, he was able to find a two-hole tuck at the 5/8 marker as the 3/5 favorite Some Deal Hanover continued to set the tempo. Turning for home he angled to the outside and in the last 16th of a mile Moeykens hit the gas pedal and he motored through the lane to score by a head in 1:54.3 – $20.60. Some Deal Hanover held on for second with Indictable Hanover (G. Merton) was third. It was his sixth seasonal win for the Murray Bassen trained gelding for owners Gray Thunder II Stable and Platinum Gold Stable.
Daamericansky (G. Merton) scorched the oval this afternoon in a head scratching 1:52.3 – $3.10, he was a 3 length win over Ziggy Sky, it was his best winning time in over 2 years. The front end loving American Ideal gelding is trainer by Andrew Adamczyk.
AE Hazels Luck (Tom Merton) found some luck this afternoon, after 23 unsuccessful tries the 3-year-old filly found the winner circle and achieved her first pari mutual win for trainer Troy Rossi in 1:59.4 – $5.80.
