n this week’s Open Pace, the front end loving Chanteplure (J. Devaux) rebuffed Vel Mr Nice Guy after they went toe to toe for the lead, Vel Mr Nice Guy (J. Chindano) settled in the 2 hole as the pacesetter hit the first panel in 26.2. They hit the half in 56.4, Flow with Joe (J. Taggart Jr.) started the first over flow with Yankee On The Move (K. Dibenedetto) in tow, Flow With Joe who hasn’t seen the rail the entire mile started applying pressure to Chanteplure down the back side, by the time they hit the next panel in 1:25.3 Flow With Joe had collared the pacesetter, at the head of the stretch coming from way back 4 deep was Gotta Go Milking A, he needed every inch of the race track to get up for the win in 1:55.2, Flow With Joe who was parked the entire mile finished a game second followed by Yankee On The Move. Mike Merton drove for trainer Rob Harmon.

After 31 unsuccessful attempts to reach the winner circle, today was the lucky day for Nine On The Hop as the 3 year old son of Roll With Joe finally got the win in 1:59.4 for Adam and his father Joseph Moeykens. Jimmy Devaux and Monica Eriksen teamed up for a double with Heez Ourperseus N in a brisk 1:54 – $4.10 & Stonebridge Rocks who notched his fourth consecutive in 1:56 – $2.10.
