With the advent of the new Bonus program by the MHHA (Monticello Harness Horsemen’s Association) the Open Pace was worth $9,545, it drew 7 starters. No surprise here that Chantepleure (J. Devaux) went for the lead, approaching the opening panel Jacks Legend N made a nasty break as Chantepleure got them there in 27.3. In the middle of the paddock turn the heavy favorite Colossal Stride A (G. Merton) popped out of the 3 hole and quickly made the front in a soft 57.3. Flow with Joe (J. Taggart) came first up followed by Some Deal Hanover (B. Aldrich Jr.) Colossal Stride A took the pack to the next station in 1:26, turning for home Flow with Joe came off the wood and challenged the leader down the lane but had to settle for second as Colossal Stride A won by ¾ of a length in 1:55.2- $3.00, Yankee On The Move (K. Dibenedetto), it was the 9 year old geldings sixth win on the year for trainer Yogi Sheridan

Jimmy Devaux continued his winning ways, after bagging a triple yesterday, today he scored a driving double, Stonebridge Rocks extended his win skein to 5 in a row this afternoon with a wire to wire performance of 1:56.1 – $2.40 for trainer Monica Ericksen. It was his eleventh seasonal win, he is 1 win behind the leader Mystical Gal with 12 wins. Devaux also scored in the the finale aboard Dandy Idea 1:55- $11.20, who picked up his third consecutive win for trainer Nick Devita. Greg Merton notched a driving double
