Scott Keppler took both splits of the USA- TURIN Italy Friendship Competition this afternoon helping thr American secure the win at Monticello Raceway with Hereslooknatyou N in a wire-to-wire win in 2:00.1 – $6.30, turning back Vittorio Bosia and Sweet Ginger and then with the favorite Sectionline Racer 1:58.3 – $3.90, finishing second was Joe Lee driving Pembroke Joey.

In the Filly & Mares $10,120 Open Pace, the Tiffany Barrett owned & trained Perfect Queen wired the field and won by 4 lengths for driver Thomas Merton in 1:56 – $ 4.30, the five-year-old American Ideal mare notched her seventh win on the year, upping her seasonal tally in excess of $50,000.

Monica Eriksen picked up a pair of back-to-back wins on the card with Hereslooknatyou N and Icarus Falls N and Fern Paquet Jr. in 1:56.7 – $3.40. With the double Monica is slowly advancing on leading trainer Laura Aldrich who leads the way with 75, Eriksen has 63 wins.

Fern Paquet Jr. had 2 trips to the winner’s circle aboard Bucketlist Hanover 2:02.4 – $3.60 and Icarus Falls N.
