The afternoons $10,120 Open Pace saw the betting public make the out of town invader Indictable Hanover starting from post position 5 the heavy favorite. Sammy B Happy and Jim Devaux cut the mile with very soft fractions for this caliber of horses. 28.2, past the first quarter the favorite Indictable Hanover (G. Merton) opted to go for the front end. Sammy B Happy hit the beam in 58.1 with Indictable Hanover struggling to keep up down the back side forcing Flow with Joe (F. Paquet Jr.) to go wide in 1:27.1 They were stacked 4 wide turning for home, the entire mile the 49-1  KJ Hunter trailed the field at the back of the pack, at the top of the stretch he was 4 wide, in the lane Jacks Legend N (T. Merton) got passed Flow with Joe but could not hold off a late brush from KJ Hunter who would win by half a length in 1:57.2 – $100.50 with Jacks Legend N finishing second with Some Deal Hanover (B. Aldrich Jr.) finishing third

Vel What A Dream scored again this week for Team Dibenedetto in 1:58.4, Diablo Canyon lowered his lifetime mark to 1:59.1 in a 3 length score for Bruce and Laura Aldrich. Missle Seelster (M. Merton) now has 3 wins in 4 starts at Monti after his 1:56.4 score
