Thursday, December 26 Recap

December 27, 2024

This afternoon’s card saw a pair of familiar faces reminiscent of a headline 10 years ago, 2 of the most dominant drivers ever to race at the Mighty M Bruce Aldrich Jr. and Jimmy Devaux. This afternoon they each won 4 races on the 11 race card, each of them won a split of the Open Trot.

Devaux scored with a pocket trip via Promise for Life in 2:01 – $7.10 for trainer Robert Lounsbury, for his ninth seasonal victory, turning back the favorite I Got The Tab, Bruce Aldrich Jr. took the Mark Ford trainee Mufasa AS wire to wire in a 6 length romp in 1:59.1 – $11.60 in the other Open Event.

Trainer Laura Aldrich got 3 wins to give her a little separation from second place trainer Monica Eriksen. Aldrich has a 5 win lead over Eriksen with 4 racing days’ remaining in the year. Robert Lounsbury had a trainer double.
