Cannery Row (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) took the feature this afternoon January 27, as the favorite Vel Miss Taylor (G. Merton) lead at every station. Cannery Row sat in the four hole throughout the mile and then tipped out in the paddock and engaged Abuelita Hanover down the lane to get up for the win by a scant neck for her first seasonal win for trainer Jeffrey Gillis in 1:59.4 – $ 13.00.

Drivers Kyle Dibenedetto, Dan Rawlings and Bruce Aldrich Jr. each recorded driving doubles and Trainer Robert Lounsbury also had a double on the training side of the ledger.

The afternoons first race was taken by Hall it In – 2:03.3 – $46.20, with Jim Taggart at the helm for trainer Wesley Miller, Hall it In, a former $100,000 yearling acquisition, a full brother to Mets Hall 1:51.2 – $1,295,306.
