Doo Wop Kid Takes Open Trot

The last time Doo Wop Kid cut the mile back in December he came out a winner, this afternoon he used the same tactics with the same results, this afternoon he hailed from post position 5, left alertly, got the lead and never looked back after reeling off splits of 28.3, 58,1 & 1:28.3. rounding the paddock turn Manofmanymuscles went off stride. At his point it didn’t matter as Do Wop Kid had 3 lengths on the pack turning for home and would go on to score a 4-length victory in 1:59.1 – $10.00 over Emma Town Bud & Woodside Genius. It was the first seasonal win for the 6-year-old son of Wishing Stone for owner – trainer – driver Alan Schwartz.
Joe & Maggie Chindano made their seasonal debut at the Mighty M, a winning one with a 3 length win with Cartier Zette in 1:59.3 – $9.70 for owners RBH Ventures Inc. Gin Always Gin scored in a tight photo over Vel Quick Daisy in 2:05.4 for owner – driver Scott Keppler, the winner is trained by Raheim Strong. Dan Rawlings and Bruce Aldrich Jr. each had driving doubles, while Laura Aldrich duplicated the feat for trainers.
Qualifying races have been cancelled for tomorrow, due to the impending weather slated to begin tomorrow morning, a decision will be made early if live racing will be able to be conducted.
