The Open Trot was a field of 7, Promise For Life with Bruce Aldrich Jr. in the bike started from an inside post 4, after making a break leaving the gate last week, this week trainer Robert Lounsbury added trotting hopples to the aged son of Royalty for Life. He  was first to fire away from the gate and took the early lead, the 27-1 Draco S, driven by Victoria Stratton, hailing from post 6, grabbed the lead before the opening panel of in 29.3, approaching the half Jumpshot (C. Kelly) and Ackles Hanover (G. Merton) were the first to begin the first over trek with Draco S still on the lead in 1:01.  Down the back side Jumpshot and Ackles Hanover were in full pursuit with Ackles Hanover tipping 3 deep in the paddock turn all the while with Promise For Life lurking in the 2-hole, Draco S was on the verge of a hugh upset but Promise For Life used the passing lane to get up by a half-length for the win in 2:01 – $3.20. Win and Dream (F Paquet Jr.) finished 3rd

Trainer Robert Dill and Owner Anthony Mazzeo teamed up for back-to-back wins with Reel Em In 2:00.3 – $4.40 & Forza 2:01.4 – $ 3.40, Bruce Aldrich had a pair of winning drives, in addition to Promise For Life, he also scored with Current Yankee in 2:00.3 – $9.40. Home’N Dry made it 3 straight this week for Ralph Silvestri III in 2:03 – $6.80. Also on the card was a heat of an NAADA which was taken by Raceace and Andrew Adamczyk in 2:05 – $11.00 for trainer Alan Schwartz.
