The afternoons card on July 23, offered 2 Open Trot events, the first event saw the longest shot on the board, the 37-1 The Last Chapter take the Open Trot 1. He took the overland route to the winners circle, with a 3 length win in 1:58 – $77.50 with Dan Rawlings in the bike for trainer Eddie Hart, it was his third seasonal win for the 11 year old son of Chapter Seven.

The other Open dash saw Colin Kelly take no prisoners and went wire to wire ion a 4 length win Makin Magic Tonite 1:57 – $7.70. Doo Wop Kid (A. Schwartz) was second followed by Perron (M. Merton)

Jimmy Devaux and Dan Rawlings each had driving double on the 9 race card.
