Chip Chip Conway Gets 50th Lifetime Win

Chip Chip Conway achieved a career milestone that many can’t duplicate, he won his 50^th race of his  career with over 180 starts and has amassed $379,000 in earnings. This afternoon he looked like his old self with a 4 length romp in 2:00:2. – $14.20 for the tandem of Jim Taggart and Gary Messenger.  It was the 9 year olds third seasonal win, although he is not racing at the high caliber that he has raced in the past, the rugged campaigner gives it his all every time he gets behind the starting gate.

The Last Chapter wired the full field of 8 to a 2 length victory on the sloppy track in 2:00.2 – $3.60in the Open Trot with Greg Merton at the helm, finishing second was Reel Em In (M. Merton) and Making Magic Tonite (K. Dibenedetto) getting up for the show position. The Last Chapter is trained by Ed Hart, it was his fourth win on the year

Also on the card was an NAADA race for $7,500, Backstreet Player and Andrew Adamcyzk scored easily with a 4 length win in 2:01.1 – $4.20. Big Charlie Moran (M. D’Aruzzo) was second followed by Lotto Hill and Bob Davis. Beach Chillin (M. Merton) broke his maiden with a win in 2:05 – $7.00 for trainer Bryson Dunning

Greg Merton bagged a driving triple, Jim Taggart Jr had a double and trainer Gary Messenger got into the act with a training double.
