After winning 5 races yesterday, Mike Merton came right back with 4 wins this afternoon with a Grand Slam as did Jimmy Devaux, between them they won 8 out of 9 carded races, with high humidity there were 5 sub 1:55 miles.

It was a Jim Devaux early Daily double aboard Life In Color 1:54.3- $ 12.64 who took a new lifetime mark for trainer Terry Finch & Buddythebookie in a confident win in 1:54.3- $7.06 who notched his 6^th win on the year for trainer Joe Skowyra.

Chantepluere, whose name comes from the French term for the wooden tap of a wine barrel made his 2025 debt a winning one in 1:57.1 – $4.30. The durable 14 year old campaigner is trained by Dawn Devaux and was driven to victory by Jimmy Devaux, for Devaux it was his third consecutive win on the card.
