After being snowed out on Tuesday, racing resumed this afternoon with an 11 race card.
Doo Wop Kid continues to rack up the wins for Owner – Trainer & Driver Alan Schwartz, this afternoon the duo teamed up for their third consecutive win in the Open Trot, ninth on the year in 2:00.1 – $38.76 after going a big mile, turning back Ackles Hanover (B. Aldrich Jr. ) and Jack Fire (M. Merton). Doo Wop Kid and Alan Schwartz swept the NAADA Finals by taking the spring, summer and Fall Finals. The 6-year-old gelded son of Wishing Stone has now banked almost $75,000 for the waning year.
Trainer Robert Lounsbury enjoyed a training double with Carrera Hanover in the opener in 2:01 – $ 3.52 and Patrick Hanover in 2:01, Ron Cushing drove both winners, Cushing would lead all drivers with a triple. Kyle Dibenedetto and Tammy Sowers teamed up for a pair of winners Vel Trust In Time 1:56.1 – $2.40 and This Dudes Perfect in 2:00 – $5.78.
After 23 unsuccessful trips to the winner circle and finishing second 9 times, today Dover Glide finally found the winner circle for Owner – Trainer – Driver Dan Harvey in 2:00.3 – $ 4.98. William Carter also had a driving double with Katie Cotton, who made it 2 in a row for trainer Ron Langley in 2:01 – $ 18.54, he took the final with Rock A Honey 1:57.3 – 4.78 for owner Chris Elia and trainer Veronica Merton. Tom Merton had a driving double.
