Mike Merton took both ends of the early Daily Double aboard Meadowbrook Dio in 2:02 – $8.23 & Somebodys Me in 2:00 – $ 23.14, he would also take finale aboard the 14-1 Thundra in 1:59.2 – $31.60 for the driving triple. The winningest horse on the grounds all year has been Icarus Falls (R. Cushing), today the 8-year-old Sportswriter mare earned her 17th seasonal win for trainer Monica Eriksen, she is ranked sixth in the nation for the most wins. Jennifer Petrelli had a training double on the 11 race card with Meadowbrook Dio and Vicky Everyday.

Fated Future notched her third seasonal win this afternoon in 2:021.3- $16.56 with Jim Taggart Jr in the bike for trainer Jim Doherty Jr. the 4-year-old mare is owned by Jim Doherty Jr. Chris Tully of Rock Hill, NY. Doherty would go on to have a training double, also scoring with Lady Chrislyn in 2:02.4 – $2.40.
