The 11 race card started with a bang when the 35-1 Don’t Be A Stranger (M. Merton) won by a head in 1:59.2 – $ 71.96, it was also the start of a banner day for Mike Merton who went on to win 5 races.

The day also saw a wave of relatively new names of trainers securing wins Zackary Gray, Benson Merrill, Jack McNeil, Chris Dubois, Mike Mancini & Herbert Lux.

McGwire Sowers had a driving double aboard It’s Rob Not Bob in 2:003 – $2.70 and took the finally with Walk It Talk It – $10.82. Vince Campolong scored a win with Rucker Park in 2:01 – $6.52.
