The featured race of the 8 race card was the $8,200 Pace for Fillies and Mares with a full field of 8, starting from the rail was Catie Aye Hanover who made a break before the start and knocked herself out of contention. The betting public made Bella Artiste (G. Merton) starting from post 6 the odds on favorite. When the gate left she was the first filly to make to top, from there she dictated the fractions with splits of 28.1, 58.1, 1:28 and won by a length in 1:58 – $ 4.46 over Better B My Way (B. Aldrich Jr.) For Bella Artiste is was her fourth seasonal win for the offspring of Badlands Hanover for trainer Peter Pellegrino.
Andrew Adamczyk took both ends of the EWEY Pacing Series, the first win came with Atlantis in 2:03.1 – $ 20.38, where he was able to hold off a late charge from We The Femail (S. Keppler), the winner is trained by Michael Meza. He took the other division after playing hard ball with Vicious Aloicious, parking him for most of the mile, he scored aboard Star Island in 2:00.0 – $5.22 for trainer Danny Gill.
Jillian Jiggs (M. Merton) may be ready for the F&M Open next week after her 1:58.1 score this afternoon for her fifth win on the year for trainer Ashlee Slugget. Straight and Sassy (G. Merton) made it 2 in a row for trainer Laura Perino. My Savage LP (C. Stratton) also duplicated the feat for trainer Jose Godinez in 2:02.1 – $ 7.00.
