The 10 race card was highlighted by the Open Pace, Hurricane Jonnyboy was scratched lame.  After drawing the outside last start and a rough trip, #6 Buy In, was the post time favorite with regular driver William Carter in the bike for trainer Jennifer Petrelli. This week Carter decided to cut the mile with the 9 year old stud by Western Ideal after wrestling the lead from Parklane Odds (B. Aldrich Jr.) past the first quarter. Past the half he had open lengths on the pack, turning for home the gap narrowed and he scored in 1:58.3- $7.02 for his fourth seasonal win.

Odds On Brexit has the most wins of any horse racing at Monticello Raceway after his eighth win of the year in 1:59.1 – $2.96, Nationally he is tied with 2 others for the most in the nation.

Mike Merton ruled the afternoon with a driving Grand Slam, William Carter had a double, Trainers Tammy Sowers and Jennifer Petrelli each had a pair of training wins.
