Herman Swartzentruber scores his 1st Pari Mutuel Win

In this afternoons 3rd race Herman broke his maiden and scored with Shoot The Thrill, 2:01.3 – $8.40 to earn his first Pari Mutual winning drive.
Herman’s journey started 4 years and 26 drives ago for the 24-year-old (P) driver who currently resides in Pine Bush, NY. Shoot The Thrill has been knocking on the door lately racing very consistent in his last few starts with 1 Place and 2 Show finishes, but this afternoon he put it all together and was roaring down the outside of the stretch in his distinctive Lime Green Colors to win going away by 4 lengths over Brutal Storm (Michael Merton) Herman is also the owner and trainer of the 10-year-old gelded son of Explosive Matter, who in the process notched his first win of the season.
In the Open for Fillies and Mares, Aberdeen Seelster benefited from a pocket trip behind pace setter In The Night, Aldrich used the passing lane to get the inside advantage over In The Night to win in 1:55.4, the fastest mile of the day, set off at almost 20-1 the longest shot on the board returned $41.20 to win. The team of Bruce Aldrich Jr. and Laura Perino own and train Aberdeen Seelster who earned her third win of the year. Aldrich and Perino also won with Redneckerthanyou giving them a double on the card.
Making her first start at Monticello Raceway, Abuelita Hanover was sharp in her 7 length win, the well-bred daughter of Somebeachsomewhere scored in 1:56 for trainer Dan Gill with Rick Harp in the sulky. Prior to her Might M debut, she had been in the barn of Larry Stalbaum racing at Saratoga Raceway.
