Those footsteps that Michael Merton is hearing should be familiar, they are his brothers Greg’s. Going into Monday’s card, Michael had 217 wins and Greg had 215. In early September, Michael had a 26 win advantage over his closest competitor, Jim Taggart at the time.  Greg is so hot that as of November 29, he was the hottest driver in all of North America with a 56% winning average. On the trainer side of things a tight race is still ongoing between Laura Aldrich and Monica Eriksen. Going into Monday, Aldrich had 97 wins over Eriksens 94.

Al Davis, from the Oakland Raiders had a famous saying “Just Win Baby” Mystical Gal has been doing just that this season, this afternoon (12/2/24) the 4 year old mare achieved her impressive seventeenth seasonal win in 2:00 for the duo of Greg Merton and trainer Art Green. Nationally she is now in sixth place and tied with 3 others for the most wins.

Brendas Delight continues to rack up the wins, this afternoon she notched her fourth consecutive win, 7 wins in her last 8 starts and her lucky 13th seasonal win.

Mulligan Philly made it 4 in a row 1:59.1 – $2.80 with Greg Merton in the bike, the 4YO Shanghai Phil mare is trained by Marianna Monaco.

The 14 year old Milady Denver A (J. Taggart Jr.) 1:59 – $6.80 entered the winner circle for the second time this season for trainer Michael Annuziata.
