Vel Trust In Time (M. Merton) extended his win streak to 3 in a row after a wire to wire score in the $9,000 Open Pace in a seasonal best in 1:54.1 – $ 3.34.  Rusty Beach (T. Merton) made a game effort in deep stretch but came up a half-length short, KJ Hunter (J. Taggart) was third

It’s nice to see Greg Decker Jr. making a resurgence these days, Greg is the fourth leading trainer with 18 winners, today his barn won with Harambe Deo with Tom Merton in the bike. Also making a resurgence is Kyle Dibenedetto, he has been on fire so far in 2026, and this afternoon he drove a pair of winners and is in third place for leading dash winning drivers with 63 trips to the winner circle.

Sunset Soph (G. Merton) notched her lucky seventh seasonal win in 1:57.1 – $3.96 for trainer Jennifer Petrelli. Hurrikane Cat Five broke his maiden for the connections of Jason Ricco and Mike Rizzo in 2:00.1-$11.86.

Greg Merton had a triple on the 10 race, taking the finale aboard Jay Appelblatt’s Dive Cosmo in 1:56.1 -$3.96, Mike Merton enjoyed a double. The top 2 leading trainers, Tammy Sowers and Jennifer Petrelli each had 2 winners hail from their stable.
